Haworthia cymbiformis
Approx $11.72 USD
Haworthia cymbiformis are a somewhat rare variety of succulents that any collector desires to own. This species is quite unlike the typical Haworthia varieties that mostly look like mini aloes with rough-edged leaves. Instead, Haworthia cymbiformis has a rosette formation with surreal bulbous leaves.
The plant looks like it’s made of translucent bluish-green tinted marbles. This glass-like surface is a critical survival adaptation of the plant. They are small, easy to grow, and very decorative making for excellent mantlepiece plants. The genus of Haworthia has about 70 species native to South Africa. Compared to other succulent genii, they can grow literally under any light condition.
They do have flowers that shoot up on long erect stacks and are quite remarkable. Haworthia cymbiformis is nontoxic in nature. Like most Haworthias, the cymbiformis grows in a clumping habit, with the "mother" plant producing plantlets that can grow together in the same pot, or be easily divided for propagation.
PLANT CARE
