Staghorn Fern
Approx $23.72 USD
There are dozens of species of staghorn ferns, and until recently, they were quite rare. Now though--thanks to species native to Australia, Platycerium bifurcatum, which is relatively easy to care for and propagate--they’re increasingly popular house plants.
Staghorn Ferns get their name from the large, bifurcated, antler-like fronds that shoot out dramatically from the center of the plant. These plants are epiphytes, growing naturally in the crooks of trees, which makes them an ideal candidate for mounting, as they require little root space to thrive.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Low to bright, indirect light
• Water: Always keep the soil damp and moist, but not soggy
• Considerations: Ferns are great for bathrooms and can take the cooler temperatures. Likes humidity.
